Memorial for unborn children

This tender memorial sculpture, carved from pristine white marble, is dedicated to unborn or prematurely deceased children. It features a deeply moving scene: a small child resting peacefully against an open, protective hand—a powerful symbol of care, divine protection, and eternal peace. The soft curves and gentle detailing of both the child and the hand give the piece a calm, almost dreamlike presence, radiating warmth and quiet reverence.

This sculpture, made from high-quality Carrara marble, is installed in the cemetery of Beňadovo, a village in northern Slovakia.

What makes this monument especially moving is the way it came into being: the people of the village united in a collective act of remembrance. With their own hands, means, and contributions, they brought this sculpture to life—transforming grief into a gesture of shared compassion and community strength.
